Can't help but to draw a similarity between the fog in this quest and the "fog" that grounded allied air assets in the second world war.
I'm of course talking about the Battle of the Bulge, where Hitler launched the last major attack on the western front, when the allied commanders least expected it. The attack was a success at first, the bad weather was one of the factors because it didn't let the allies use their air forces to help the ground battle, since they had air superiority.
Just thought I'd make the remark and see if anyone was thinking the same :)
