This quest is part of the monk order hall campaign. You need to complete it in order to get the follow up quest The Iron Fist. I actually ignored this quest during beta and kept wondering why I would not get the quests for obtaining the remaining champions.
You need to deposit 100 stockpiles in total and you can only deposit stockpiles in stacks of 5.
Contrary to the quest text, you cannot turn in Big Gamy Ribs but [item=133564] instead. You need the cooking recipe from [npc=101846] in Dalaran (for Horde, your experience as Alliance may vary). [item=133564] costs one Big Gamy Ribs and one Dalapeño Pepper each.
Silkweave Bandage requires Legion First Aid and the recipe from the First Aid trainer in Dalaran and costs 1 Shal'dorei Silk each.
Highmountain Salmon can be fished from Highmountain waters and has a drop chance of around 20-25% unless fished from pools.
Take this quest as a motivation to level your first aid, fishing or cooking skills and it is quickly done.
To be clear, you just need 100 in TOTAL, not each as I thought!

Description
I have gone through our stockpile several times and no matter how I try to cut corners, we come up short. A lack of food and medicine will halt our war efforts... that is simply the reality. We desperately need food or bandages. If you know how to acquire any such items, you can bring them to me.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Tracking the Tideskorn
We have sent scouts to search for our kidnapped allies, and our efforts may have finally paid off. They've tracked them to the vrykul homeland of Stormheim, but the unfamiliar territory has slowed our progress and we're in danger of losing the trail.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Highmountain Salmon
This delicious fish can be found in the pools of Highmountain. Taking up fishing can be a productive and rewarding profession. Or, I hear there are plenty of fishers who are open to trading.
