Fire in the Hole

Fire in the Hole is a quest for level 70-73 in Isle of Dorn. It is step 12 of 13 in the Earthen Fissures storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Isle of Dorn at 56.4, 48.0. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

Who are you? But of course, another outlander! I'm Wenbrandt, tamer of cinderbees and creator of cinderbrew.

<Wenbrandt squares himself up as if you should be impressed.>

I had brought barrels of cinderbrew to help the injured. I thought drinking it would ease their pain, but for most it just caused more... burning... pain...

I refuse to let my brew go to waste. Maybe it can be weaponized. The nerubians are just bugs after all--organic and flammable.

This burrow here is a perfect test subject.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Cavalry is HereIsle of Dorn · Level 70-73

<Baelgrim quakes with fury.> These cursed nerubians. Attacking a triage site! So many wounded and defenseless... and yet, it looks like you outlanders are putting up a fight! Let's grind every last one of the bugs back into the ground.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • ConvergenceIsle of Dorn · Level 70-73

We know the nerubians are in league with Xal'atath. An' we have a fair idea why they attacked us--and Dalaran. They seem bent on destroying the earthen--even kickin' 'em when they're down. But why? Is it because the Coreway is the key an' destroyin' it was nae enough?
