The Stolen Letters

The Stolen Letters is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-30 in Duskwood. It is step 22 of 42 in the Duskwood storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Duskwood at 72.5, 46.9. It rewards 6 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

You want to know about Stalvan...

You're not the first, you know. We get outsiders coming through asking about him every so often. Always outsiders. Everyone who lives here knows better.

You're out of luck, anyway. I'm missing half the archives. Feral worgen broke into the town hall not a few nights ago and tore the place to shreds.

The documents you'll want are probably strewn all across Brightwood Grove by now, deep in the woods to the west. Not worth it if you ask me.

The ground container for this quests' item is a bit tough to find since 6.0.2. Quest ground items no longer have little sparklies that float off of them but rather now are just "highlighted." You can find it couple paces directly East of the bonfire.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Legend of StalvanDuskwood · Level 10-30

I'm here because I received a letter from my brother Stalvan, who I haven't seen in years. On arriving here, I was told he was dead... The entire town refuses to offer any further explanation. Any mention of his name is met with terror and suspicion. As if I didn't have enough of that myself!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • In A Dark CornerDuskwood · Level 10-30

If you're that serious about this, I'll help you, <name>. I know where the other documents must be. I'm just too terrified to do anything about it. There's only a few places that those horrible Nightbane beasts gather when they're not prowling the forest.
