Blizzard has fixed the quest to where more mobs spawn in now in correlation to how many players are in the quest area.
The problem occurs in which the mobs that should count for this quest do sometimes do not and the associated quest of freeing mawsworn, the mawsworn can reset before killing the mob they are tied too making them unclickable. So if you are a tank or low geared alt doing this quest, have fun. Also if that mawsworn decides to become hostile after being freed the others will remain unclickable even if one shotting their jailer with the action button.
Last thing is the helpful action button that hits the area with Necropolis artillery fire.
It randomly goes away when stepping in certain areas and there is no way to tell where they are, some of them are in the middle of the questing area.
So if you decide to round up the mobs and kill them with the artillery as a tank or low geared player you might suddenly find yourself fighting 3-12 more of these mobs than you planned for. It almost seems like the artillery fire is related to how fast you complete the quest but not like a timed buff, more like if you kill them very fast then you don't need the buff, but they count the mobs killed with the artillery buff.
Point is be ready for the artillery action button to just disappear.
