If you are doing the recap;
- Start the quest and inspect the gem.
- When the story starts to play, abandon the quest.
- Retake the quest and click the gem again --> You will be able to turn it in immediately.
after 45 minutes of trying i could complete this quest by abandoning the quest, taking it back, clicking the gem and abandoning it again and taking it back again in a really quick succession. After 5 or 6 cycles the quest was completed and the tome ported me to the next scenario.
I think this quest is bugged because of the nearby worldquest but I might be wrong.
Anyway the only way to find out is to abandon the loooooooong quest to leave chowalking, complete the worldquest and start the quest chain from scratch in dornogal.I couldn't bother so I tried to bruteforce it
and voilà !
As of 11.0.2 this is currently bugged with Party Sync. As soon as you click the memory gem, the follower NPC's despawn.
