Armed by Light:

You might be good at killing, <class>, but so are we Amani. And even more de better our weapons! I took an army into Eversong to reclaim de lightwood forests for de Amani. It was against my sister's orders, yes, but lightwood gives us an advantage. Take back de weapons being stolen by the de Twilight's Blade, and I'll show you why it was worth de effort.

Wow. What the actual f--- with this word salad?

1) "You might be good at killing, <class>, but so are we Amani. And even more de better our weapons!"
........what? What was even supposed to be meant by this?

2) "Take back de weapons being stolen by the de Twilight's Blade"
So... sloppy......

How something like this makes it into the actual live game is beyond me. I know this is "only" 2 mistakes, and I have personally seen worse (somehow). But in a finished product that is being sold, there shouldn't be these kinds of mistakes. At all. This is basic English. Not only that, but at this point, they can even use AI to proofread everything and catch these mistakes.

I've been playing for years, and I've consistently and very frequently submitted errors I found to the current expansion's official "Typo & Grammatical Error Megathread". I used to offer my submissions because I wanted to help the game I love look polished and professional. But... that's not my job. I'm not getting paid for it. Someone else is, and it's still not getting done until players do their job for them, for free. So, I've stopped. If I apply for any proofreading side jobs, I'll certainly use my submissions to support my resume, though!

So yeah, seeing something like this, after several expansions of providing free proofreading services, is just... idk. Insulting (as a customer paying for an unpolished game)? Irritating? Makes me feel hopeless for the game that I love?

But since they don't check WoWhead, I can call attention to this particular horrendous word salad here.

Downvote if you want: I know this comment isn't helpful to the quest. Call me a "grammar nazi" if you want: I've heard it all my life because English has always been one of my skills. I love this game to pieces, but man, does this frustrate me to no end... But if you feel the same way I do, then, well... just know that I see you, and I empathize with you.

/sigh

That is every comment on this page.
