Break the Blade

Break the Blade is a quest for level 83-88 in Zul'Aman. It is step 13 of 16 in the Dis Was Our Land storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Zul'Aman at 33.0, 54.5. It rewards 18,250 experience and money.

Description

Zul'jan's ballista is ready. And it had better work after what he has done.

We lost de army we needed to defend de city, but we can fend off Mor'duun long enough to let our people escape.

Help my brother man de ballista. Focus on de shadow warders and de pylon. Liadrin and I will distract Mor'duun.

I will kill him if I can, but even then we can't stay here. There's too much void energy. And too much destruction. Atal'Aman is truly lost.

Unable to figure out how to complete. 2 will shoot the white bubbles out of the air, and 1 will shoot the purple void things but it cannot reach the 2 furthest voids or the main target. It just doesnt have the range. Any help?

Edit: shoot into the small sections on the ground right at the base of the temple thing behind the 2 highest purple guys. Sooo badly designed.

This quest can be very confusing.

Use "1" to shoot at the mobs throwing the orbs, not on the shield itself. There are two that you can't really see at the first platform of the stairs leading up.
Use "2" to throw arrows at the orbs coming your way to defend yourself
Once you kill the mobs it will revert to where your camera comes around to you standing at the front of the ballista. You are still in vehicle mode although it can seem as if you've been released from it the way the camera acts.
At that point hit "3" which will meet the quest objectives and launch the video.

Zul'jarra doesn't think de lightwood is worth de risks I am taking. We will prove her wrong. I have seen too many warriors discouraged because their weapons don't work against de Twilight's Blade. Don't just tell them to retreat. Give them de lightwood weapons.

You and your elf friend amuse me. And you've more than proved yourself in battle. Our people are headin' to Amani'Zar. We hope dat de other tribes rallied there instead of Atal'Aman. Their representatives will give us council, and then we will mount an attack on de Twilight's Blade.
