The mini map won't indicate you need to be lower if you walk to the top of the hill above the cave with Kimbul in it. Walk back down the hill looking for a cave entrance and you will see the tiger looking Kimbul.

What to do
Description
The time has come for you to make contact with the great loa Eraka no Kimbul. I can only imagine what it will be like to be in the presence of such an ancient and powerful deity. You have earned the Ring of Tides, so it must be you that addresses the loa. Please present the loa with this offering from our tribe. Tell him of our plight against the naga. Eraka no Kimbul is our only hope of survival now.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Blessing of Kimbul
The entrance to the temple is sealed by a magical barrier. According to my scrolls, the barrier can only be lowered by one who has gained the Ring of Tides. There is a statue somewhere in the temple grounds with the power to bestow the ring, but the ruins are overrun with jungle spiders.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Curse of Mepjila
Centuries ago, the sea witch Mepjila attacked my temple with an army of naga invaders. My followers fought bravely, but I arrived too late to save them. I defeated the naga army with ease.

Kimbul's Wrath has 12 steps, from They Came From The Sea to Mark of the Loa.
