Oh, It's Real

Oh, It's Real is an Alliance-only quest for level 15-30 in Dustwallow Marsh. It is step 25 of 83 in the Dustwallow Marsh storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Dustwallow Marsh at 69.6, 51.8. It rewards 2,050 experience.

Description

Yes, Tethyr is certainly real, and he lives in the waters off Theramore.

Has a thing for bright lights. He's the reason they shut down the lighthouse in the first place, you know...

And if you light it up again, he'll come right back. But no one in their right mind would do that.

So that must be your plan! It's been good sharing a drink with you, but don't blame ol' Nat if Tethyr REALLY turns you into fish bait. If you're going to do this, make sure you consult Major Mills at the Theramore docks.

Is completion of this quest line necessary for anything down the line with fishing? That is, is it required for any achievements, reputation or rewards other than the ones from the quests themselves? From my reading about Nat Pagle's friendship and Extreme Angler, I don't see that it is...

Ok here we go

1. You must wait till the animation of the current battle is done.
2. After Tethyr is dead the sky will clear and the the quest will be available for turn in.

If the Major is not visible. Run off for a few minutes and come back.

So you found a copy of Dastardly Denizens of the Deep, did you? Well, I can tell you from experience, it's all true. I've even seen a few of 'em with my own eyes. But you want to know about Tethyr. I said I'd make you a deal, so here's what I want you to do.

  • Take Down Tethyr!Dustwallow Marsh · Level 15-30

Sea monster or no, we're not going to risk the safety of our shipping. I've ordered our best marksmen to prepare for a confrontation with this Tethyr. The artillerymen have augmented the dock's defenses with three mortars. I'm going to order the lighthouse's lamp illuminated.
