Pieces of Us

Pieces of Us is a quest for level 20-40 in Talador. It is step 3 of 10 in The Plight of the Arakkoa storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Talador at 76.7, 55.2. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 5,450 experience and money.

Description

When the fires broke out, I took only my daughter's hand before we fled. It was the right decision, of course, but I do long for some of the things we left behind.

I am an artificer, a shaper of crystals and gems. Without my tools I am just another refugee.

Our town records are kept in a memory crystal in the main hall. With it, I can carry forward the knowledge and legacy of Aruuna.

Also, my daughter is terrified - it would be a great comfort for her to hold her favorite doll again.

Upon accepting this quest, theres a surprisingly emotional scene between Crystal-Shaper Barum and his daughter Melani
Melani: Papa, I'm scared!
Barum: I know, lightning bug. But Papa needs you to be brave right now. Do you remember what you want to be when you grow up? Come now, you just told me this morning.
Melani: <sniff sniff> ...a vindicator.
Barum: And what are vindicators like?
Melani: ...they're brave.
Barum: That's right! Now can you be brave for me, Vindicator Melani?
Melani: I'll try!
Barum: There's my girl. Now stay close to Papa. Let's go! *both run into the woods*
