Rewriting the Rewritten

Rewriting the Rewritten is a quest for level 78-80 in City of Threads. It is step 4 of 7 in the Plans within Plans storyline. It rewards 10,600 experience and money.

Description

We called you here today because it is "Ascendance Day". Queen Ansurek has deigned declare it a day to revel in our newfound, void-infused evolution--our "Ascendance". Please note my satirical nuance.

While the streets are alive with festivity and joyous citizens, the Shadecasters planted through the Bazaar will be drowning the air with Ansurek's vile propaganda.

Take this invention of mine. Use it to overwrite them with more... illuminating information for the public.

If Executive Nizrek isn't inside the building at /way #2216 66.3 30.7
and the guards are all hostile and teleporting you outside the city, here is what you do. You should have the buff Azj-Kahet pheromones already on you from a previous quest. Unfortunately, those pheromones only work if you enter the City of Threads at a specific location. That location is /way #2216 67.2 24.9
(This is the landing just South of the words "Umbral Bazaar" on the City of Threads map and just above the Tak-Rethan delve.)
Fly out of the city and then land there. Then go to the building. The mobs should be yellow and Nizrek should be there now.

I got myself into this problem because during the campaign I temporarily left the campaign to do something else and when I came back all the mobs were red and attacked even with the pheromones.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Like a Spider on the WallCity of Threads · Level 78-80

Inviting Alleria was a risk... but even at this moment, I feel it was worth taking. I know it was. I will speak with her on my own. In the meantime, I'd like you to venture into the city above. The pheromones Nizrek gifted you will allow access into the Umbral Bazaar.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Kaheti HospitalityCity of Threads · Level 78-80

That stage in the distance is where Ansurek will give her Ascendance Day speech. You, Alleria, and I shall make our way up one of the nearby towers and observe. If we are to turn her own citizens against her, then we must also gain as much first hand experience with her tactics as we can manage.
