Acquisition: Runeforged Shackles is a quest for level 60 in The Maw, added in Shadowlands. It rewards 1 reputation reward.
<The chains here are carved with domination runes, imbuing them with the magic needed to subdue the most powerful of the Mawsworn's prisoners.
No doubt Ve'nari could find some use in studying these runes.>

The shackles look just as grey as everything else in the Maw, so it can be pretty hard to see them. They're a length of chain extended downward with a hoop at the bottom, typically hanging from rocks/walls. Not carried by mobs.
Whilst there pick up a [Mawsworn Crossbow] (35,300 damage) for emergencies.
When you complete the quest pick up another one, will come in handy as it last 12 hours.
For me, the shackles had the same yellow glow like most quest objectives, which made them easy to see; this may be something that can be turned on and off in Interface options.

Ve'nari knows more about the Maw than anyone, and she might share a fraction of that information with you if you earn her regard.

Item facts are the current retail client’s (ItemSparse); the specialisations for a pick-one item are the ones the Blizzard quest API lists; faction and currency text is the client’s own. Lowest listed price = the US commodity auction house now.
