Buzzbox 723

Buzzbox 723 is an Alliance-only quest for level 5-30 in Darkshore. It is step 5 of 55 in the Darkshore storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Darkshore at 54.2, 29.2. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

There are a couple other forms of wildlife that we've verified infected. It's actually good news that the crabs appear to have caught this from the bears - hopefully that means this all stems from one source. We need to focus our attention on those bears now.

Buzzbox 723 is near the waterfalls to the east. It's going to be messy work, but it's necessary - I'll need you to bring some fresh bear guts to that buzzbox for analysis. We'll go from there once I have the information.

I felt awful..I killed a Corrupted bear who was wandering with a cub....As i attacked, the cub ran away and as the mother died the cub just turned around to face me and sat down. I waited for it to cry or something. >.<
And I've gone and killed 8 so far, and all I'm getting is pelts :S

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • No Accounting for TasteDarkshore · Level 5-30

<The machine buzzes for a few moments before Wizbang's voice breaks through.> Interesting! The source of this corruption definitely came from something external--no surprises there--but it appears that in this case they've been eating something foul. A large mammal probably. Most likely a bear.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Corruption's SourceDarkshore · Level 5-30

I rushed here as soon as I heard the news from Wizbang. I know who's behind this mess now. Zenn Foulhoof. He came over from Teldrassil after he was chased out for performing perverse magics.
