I am not sure whether this kind of comment helps, but I hope it does: Even if this is a group quest, this one and the one with the big cat can be soloed. I did so with my arms warrior at level 108.
Not sure if it would work, I tried.

The method: You need to have Second Wind as a talent, and Shockwave ready to go. When I was getting to 50% or less health, I'd shockwave the moose, heroic leap to a distance and try to STAY at a distance for a few secs. Make sure you don't run TOO far, or the moose will reset.
The automatic healing from Second Wind will kick in and tick away before the moose reaches you, so you can get to almost full health again. Also make sure that when he throws you around, you stand with your back against a wall.

So: Stand against a wall. DPS like nuts. When health gets low, shockwave him, leap or run to a distance, wait for Second Wind to heal you, rinse and repeat

Description

There's been chatter around the hunters' lodge about a crazed moose that is terrorizing the basin. I've never laid eyes on the beast myself, but they say its antlers are illuminated with magic. Where other lesser hunters have tried and failed, you will prevail, and collect me a one-of-a-kind trophy!

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • I'm Not Lion!Highmountain · Level 10-45

I've hunted many exotic beasts in my day, but I've never seen a lion like the one I encountered while scouting the basin. The beast's amber eyes locked on mine, luring me closer. I was helpless to this predator's enchanting gaze. It was only when the lion pounced did the stupor break.
