Signal Boost

Signal Boost is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-45 in Stormheim. It is step 8 of 9 in the Wreck of the Skyfire storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Stormheim at 33.8, 46.1. It rewards 6,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 2 achievements.

Description

The Skyfire's starboard propeller came to rest on the cliffs overlooking our camp - we're gonna use it like a big antenna and push our distress signal so far that even Mekkatorque's alarm clock could pick it up!

Unfortunately, it might attract some unwanted attention.

We're braced for enemy contact down here at the camp - fire up that signal and be ready to defend the antenna!

To get where you need to do the distress signal you need to go back up to the boat (path on your right) up the broken boat to the very top.. There is a cave hidden behind the boat, 31,57 and go back thru the cave with all the dragons in it across the pond at weeping bluffs and down to your right, you will see the quest giver there and the transponder which you then have to protect.

I just went to do this quest and it was stuck on the defend part because one of the forsaken guys bugged out & just stood there evading at like 30% health. I'm not sure how long it's been like that because it happened before I came and there was a huge group of people waiting around with the same problem. I switched to war mode and was able to complete it no problem

This quest is currently bugged. One enemy will get stuck evading and the event never progresses. Unfortunately the only workaround I found is to abandoned the quest and go into War Mode, which of course requires making the long trip back to Stormwind. Then make your way back to the Skyfire Triage Camp in Stormheim to pick the quest back up from Tinkmaster Overspark.
Side note, for some reason there's a bunch of clones of Tinkmaster Overspark around the transponder, but it doesn't appear to have any affect on the quest.

    Hngghh! Nope, can't stand yet. It's all pins and needles. Small fries like this are usually no problem for the 7th, but we weren't prepared for their electrical attacks. Before I knew it, I was trapped in some kind of static field. Couldn't move a muscle until you came along.
