I am not sure if I missed something, but all the spirits around the ghost wolves are human as in Stormwind-looking human, not Kul'Tiran. I found this curious. Is this explained further in other class quests at this point, commentary on humans being inherently linked to the nastiness of necrotic energy, or ___? haha - I don't know... it just caught my attention.

One mildly interesting thing to note is that anytime the buff dispels for even a second, the spirits all randomize again. One second you've got a blood elf staring at you in the group and the next a tauren is standing in his spot.
And it does tend to dispel itself randomly for no reason, probably a phasing issue. Walking too far in one direction (even towards the quest goals) tends to do it for me.

What to do
Description
Greetings, young one. Your companions cannot see me. Only you, for you have been trained in the ways of a shaman. The shadow energies of this island have ensnared my pack. I need your aid to free them. Gather veil blossoms from the surrounding area. Burn them on the campfire and breath deep of their smoke. Then you will be able to see my packmates and release them from their bonds.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
Getting there
Flight points closest to the quest’s turn-in marker on Exile's Reach:
- Alliance Outpost, Exile's Reach Outpost
- Ogre Citadel, Exile's Reach Island
From the turn-in, the objective areas lie:
- Objective area
- Objective area
Straight-line distances in yards between the quest’s own map markers (QuestPOI) and the client’s flight-point positions (TaxiNodes); flight paths and terrain are not modelled.

Well for starters, there are no allied races on the island or the expedition. The spirits present here are probably those of Alliance and Horde that got trapped when they died. If I had to guess, many were probably from the two expeditions. As a troll, I don't see any Zandalari here, but plenty of Darkspear Trolls. Due to their coloration, it's impossible to tell if any of the orcs are Mag'har, but I see no markings so I think it's safe to say they're not the allied race variant, either. idk why they excluded them all from the island just because allied race players can't play the tutorial.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- A Warlock's Bargain
While you were mowing down hordes of undead, I was scouting more of the area with Lindie's device. I saw what looked like a portal out near the bridge, along with the corpse of a warlock we thought was lost in the shipwreck. Think you can go investigate the area and try to close that portal?
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- A Monk's Focus
You fought well against the harpies, but we all need to become stronger to face what lies ahead. The first step is to find a nice place to meditate and focus yourself. A monk is only as strong as they are focused. Come. I know of such a place.
