Poking the Spider Nest is a quest for level 70-73 in Isle of Dorn. It is step 7 of 10 in The First Blow storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Isle of Dorn at 74.8, 42.3. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

The meadery is evacuated and the explosives are primed. It is time to bait the nerubians into our trap.

Your compatriot is by the nerubian burrow north of here. She told me her directive is to keep watch over it in case the nerubians make a move before we are ready.

So far they have not made a move and may now need... coaxing. Take a keg of cinderbrew to the burrow. Tossing it in should stir their "nest."

Rendezvous with us back at the Meadyard--quickly--after.

For some reason, I didn't get an extra action button popping up when I picked up the keg, as I should have. I abandoned the quest and tried again. It still didn't work. (Maybe an addon issue? Not sure. The extra action button worked fine for other quests).

If you have that problem as well, you can make a macro.

Put that on your spellbar and if you click on it, you will see the spell circle and be able to aim it at the correct location on the cobwebs covering the cave.
