Description

Andaris's control over the withered poses a real threat. If we are to increase the withered's resistance against these effects, we must do so in an environment built from this very magic.

Head for Felsoul Hold at once. When you arrive, I will send withered to aide in your efforts. It is of the utmost importance you do not leave until you are certain the experiments yield the appropriate results.

As of 08 apr 2017 (patch 7.2), this quest seems to be bugged: the withered for me always died before ending the channel (more than 30 tries per crystal) and I didn't get credit for the quest. After opening a ticket, I have been suggested by a Blizzard GM to remove my artifact weapon and legendaries before starting the channel. While removing my legendaries did nothing, removing the weapon worked like a charm. So, if you're stuck on this quest, try this too.

Shards are above ground. So do not take portal to Felsoul. Its a waste of time. Use the quest item on 3 shards and thats it. Each time you channel your withered will take some damage. Its fine if they die on 2nd shard. They respawn fast.

Better make your way to Felsoul Hold mounted, dont use the portal, it will take more time to reach quest objects.

Use your [item=142399] when you are near a crystal to order withered to do their job.
