Miner Troubles

Miner Troubles is a quest for level 1-20 in The Lost Isles. It is step 8 of 72 in The Lost Isles storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Lost Isles at 31.3, 79.3. It rewards 3 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 2,750 experience and money.

Description

Smart mining monkeys!

They're all over the inside of the cavern, mining... with picks! It's just not natural and I'm sure it's because of the kaja'mite!

None of my miners have come back out. I don't have many left! You can see my predicament, <name>.

<The foreman lowers his voice.>

These guys are nowhere near as good as my old group of jungle trolls. Ah, those were the days.

Maybe you can escort my last miner here through the cavern and keep those monkeys off of him? We need that kaja'mite!

You can just ask Foreman Dampwick for another miner if the first one doesn't turn up right away. When you escort the little guy with the wagon, make sure you wait for him to mine each sparkling green node before you move on.

Just did this and the quest is bugged to hell but still able to be completed. Everytime i got into combat the miner would rush to me and then when the combat was over he would walk all the way back to the start and start his route again. Luckily everything stayed dead long enough for him to finish the route but holy hell did it take forever

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Help WantedThe Lost Isles · Level 1-20

    Great news! Foreman Dampwick has uncovered a cave full of kaja'mite on the island! What are the odds? Of course, there's a downside. He took some of the survivors with him to help mine the ore, but none of them have made it out.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Capturing the UnknownThe Lost Isles · Level 1-20

    Heya, <name>, there are strange cave paintings and other artifacts all over the cavern. Do you think you could use your belt-mounted KTC Snapflash camera to capture images at the designated spots? Also, snap a pic of the altar in the back of the cavern. I'm sure that Sassy will want the intel.
