You can save orc scouts from the strangling vines (about half live and thank you while the other half die) leading me to believe there was once a rescue component to this quest. Oh well it's still mindless weed whacking fun.

Just a heads up. The scaling of mobs health in 7.3.5 have made this quest very tedious. As some have also mentioned, the range of the blades appears to be shortened at some point meaning you will have to go to a mob stay on it for 2-3 hits then move to another... x100. I feel this flies in the face of how the quest was originally designed to be.

Either the quest glitched up for my goblin rogue or they've nerfed this to high heaven. I just did it and had no range whatsoever, leading me to have to move up to 100 plants and chop 'em all down separately. What a slog.

StorylineThe Lost Isles, step 13 of 72

Description

<Kilag barely has time to acknowledge you between rifle shots, but his eye does linger a moment on your Goblin All-In-1-der Belt appreciatively.> Now is the time for creative solutions. Pull something out of that belt and get to work! <Thinking about the situation for a moment, an idea comes to your mind and it's just crazy enough to work!>

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Vicious ValeThe Lost Isles · Level 1-20

Our hunter, Kilag Gorefang, and a few scouts, traveled into the vale down the path to the west. They're ...searching for... 'precious cargo'... that we were guarding when the filthy Alliance sunk our ship. The way is blocked by deadly plants and they have not been able to break through.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Back to AggraThe Lost Isles · Level 1-20

Return to the Horde Base Camp and let Aggra know that we still live, <name>. Tell her that I am moving on to the Wild Overlook and that we will all meet up on the northwest side of the island. I expect to see you there. We will track down the Alliance and slay them to the last!
