A few helpful hints about this quest.

First and foremost, yes it is going to be hard to see. The easiest way (and it's not going to be great) is to zoom OUT as much as possible. You'll see a lot of giant and little else, but that's the best it gets.

Second, part of this quest is to kill 100 scourge. Do NOT go looking for scourge to complete this part, trust me, they will find you. Find Algar and the Prince first, and kill them, you will kill plenty of scourge along the way, and during the fights, and after the fights...

Third! This one is really important! <Gymer need Stormcloud!> This frustrated the hell out of me during this quest, because I could find the stormcloud, i clicked it, I right-clicked it, I clicked it multiple times, I stood in it, around it...nothing would heal me. If you'll look down at your new action bar you have 4 abilities, an earthquake looking button that does AoE damage, a redish button that does an AoE knockback +damage, a bloody hand that picks up Vargyl and picks up stormclouds to heal yourself and then another hand that throws a Vargyl if that's what you're holding.
So Click the stormcloud, then click the bloody hand. It will heal almost your full health (depending on what level you're at when you click it of course)

Fourth, as best as possible, run along roads. Your aggro radius is ridiculous, as a hunter I could see the armies of undead running towards me and it isn't pretty.Every now and then, stop and kill them all. Otherwise they will keep following you, right up to the bosses and then you're fighting 300 undead plus the boss. There is a way to kind of reset them and leave combat! There is a ramp at [30.78, 66.63] that leads up to the argent strand, run up there, and around the corner to the left. Go a few paces and stop, very few undead will follow you up there! You can kill them. And then, look down and you can see the Prince! Jump down (no fall damage!) and you won't catch any extra adds :D

The Prince Nevarius fight. PAY ATTENTION, he does a soul reflection spell, it shows up in yellow across your screen, it shows up as a debuff, AND it shows up as a channeled spell under his name plate! STOP DPS during this spell! You AREN'T HURTING HIM! You will be reflecting all that damage onto yourself!

After you kill him, quickly look for a stormcloud, but don't go far! Thyrm will appear then and if you run away you'll have to kill the Prince again to spawn Thyrm.

Lastly, for some reason, he doesn't auto attack after you do a damaging spell. You have to hit your "T" button, or right click your target. This will add so much more damage, and make the fights so much easier!

[url=http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29872Algar the Chosen can be killed at anytime; however you must kill [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29821Prince Navarius in order to activate [url=http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29895Thrym who stands (inactive) on a wall above Prince Navarius (32,64). Once the Prince is dead, Thrym jumps down and becomes killable. Make sure you take the time in-between Thrym and Prince to heal up by grabbing storm clouds.

This is easily the worst quest in the entirety of WoW. It is designed with the intelligence and elegance of an inbred, brain-dead murloc. Your vision is incredibly impaired throughout the whole quest. Despite being a giant, you can't jump over objects any larger than a beetle, which is infuriating considering the entire area is littered with gigantic thorns, walls, rubble and siege weaponry. The aggro radius is roughly the size of Jupiter's orbit. When you have finally maneuvered through the maze of deceptively avoidable miniscule objects, you have to kill Prince whogivesanorcsgreenballs in order to spawn Thrym (despite the fact that you'd be hard pressed NOT to run into him in every previous/subsequent mission in the area). By then your health is fairly low so you have to somehow figure out that you have to go and pick up storm clouds in order to heal. Luckily these storm clouds have the endearing quality of vanishing on a whim. When paired with Quasimodo the Giant's adorable tendency to pick up everything except the storm cloud you targeted, this makes for a pleasant, enjoyable evening (/sarcasm). Finally, you have to face Thrym as well as the entire population of Azeroth while getting stuck on what I can only assume is microscopic bacterium, taking more damage than an afternoon dip in the planet core. To make matters worse, if you flee in order to find a thunder cloud (who decide that now is the best time to take a holiday), then Thrym disappears and you have to go through the entire experience of killing prince gnomegenitals all over again, only to suffer the same problems.

I haven't rage quit since i faced Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts when I was like 14 or something, but this quest resurrected that experience. If i were to compare this mission to a real life experience, I would say it was slightly worse than sawing myself in half and raping my own face.

What to do

StorylineZul'Drak, step 22 of 79

Description

My people have been decimated by the Lich King. The Scourge now use the corpses of storm giants to create mindless flesh giants, or worse, stitched together aberrations like Thrym. I will stop at nothing to see them all driven from this world. We will work together to destroy the Scourge that threaten Zul'Drak. We will kill them all: Navarius, Algar and Thrym! When you are ready, let me know and we will begin our destructive journey.

  • Our Only HopeZul'Drak · Level 20-30

What I'm about to give you is called seaforium. It is a highly volatile explosive with some unique properties. Due to its malleable nature, you will be able to fill in the hinges and cracks of the cage for maximum damage. Return to your friend and use the jumbo seaforium charge to set him free.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Infiltrating VoltarusZul'Drak · Level 20-30

By now you've probably guessed the details of my plan. We're using the Scourge's interest in you against them. You're going undercover. I know it's likely a death sentence, but if we do nothing your death is a certainty.
