Fel To Pieces

Fel To Pieces is a quest for level 15-30 in Felwood. It is step 44 of 69 in the Felwood storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Felwood at 43.9, 27.8. It rewards 4,100 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

The infernals that lurk in Shatter Scar Vale are formidable, but not invincible. Much progress has been made in thinning their numbers.

Destroying them is only part of the solution, however. I've found that the stone that infernals are made of still contains large amounts of fel magic even after the infernal's death.

The rubble of slain infernals now litters Shatter Scar Vale, leeching its corruption back into the ground. If you could collect it and bring it to me, I would be grateful.

These can be looted from the nearby [npc=7136] (which is done simultaneously with Hunting the Damned) with a pretty low droprate (Yes, while having the quest), roughly 20-25%. But they can ALSO be looted from the ground. It took me a while to see them though, but once you know what to look for they are not hard at all to find.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Collecting CorruptionFelwood · Level 15-30

Though we druids shun the demonic powers infesting this land, it must still be confronted. Shatter Scar Vale to the south seethes with corruption. The energies there are so chaotic that they manifest as violent entities, pure fel magic given form to lash out at all life.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hunting the DamnedFelwood · Level 15-30

The first demons to set foot in this forest were infernals. Long ago, these powerful beings of stone and demonic fire fell from the sky to take this land for the Burning Legion. The charred craters of Shatter Scar Vale to the south are where these infernals landed, and many still wander there.
