Ormgul the Pestilent

Ormgul the Pestilent is a quest for level 10-45 in Highmountain. It is step 3 of 13 in the Rivermane Tribe storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Highmountain at 43.6, 59.9. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 6,150 experience and money.

Description

We've lived at peace with the drogbar for years--our tribe even more than the others. But we were betrayed in our last trade with them at Riverbend.

They usually supply us with potent alchemy to prevent insects from infesting our fields. This time, led by Ormgul, they have attacked the crops that sustain us all.

Ormgul the Pestilent is the one who brought the infection to our farmland. Destroy him, and bring me whatever he uses to attract the bugs to our land.

Having an issue with it saying "you do not meet the requirements for that quest" after I've finished killing him and taken the bug sprayer then tried to turn it in. Not sure why. I did have a lfg dungeon queue come up between accepting and finishing the quest...I wonder if it doesn't like you zoning in/out?

***edit*** It turns out it doesn't like you being in cat form when you try to turn it in. XD

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Rivermane TribeHighmountain · Level 10-45

What has happened here requires more time than I have to explain. In short, our tribes have scattered in the wake of the attack that left the Hammer of Khaz'goroth in the hands of the barbaric drogbar.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Poisoned CropsHighmountain · Level 10-45

After driving us from the farmland and infesting our crops with insects, the drogbar placed wicked totems that further poison our harvest. I can only hope that if you destroy them, we'll be able to heal the land using Jale's water magic. Thank you for coming to help us, <name>.
