This is the first goblin quest that doesn't make a lot of sense to me, story-wise. You place the clucker egg in the trap; a raptor runs up to check out the egg for some reason, gets caught in the trap and dies...leaving behind a raptor egg. What exactly is going on here? Or do I want to know?
And a tip for those needing help with the quest: if you aggro a raptor on the way to a trap, don't bother fighting it. Just run to the trap and place the egg - the raptor will stop attacking you and go to the trap.

Make sure a raptor is close to a trap when you place an egg in it or else nothing will happen. It is possible to put an egg in a trap and then kite a raptor from a distance.
This quest makes no sense. Not because we trade small eggs for bigger eggs, no, but that they trade eggs for EGGS Instead of just taking the raptors for food! Like, they would have -way- more food than stupid eggs if they ate the raptors..

What to do
Description
Hobart thinks he's going to feed us on those tiny clucker eggs? Bah! We're going to get some real eggs! I've already set up some traps on the Raptor Rise up the path to the east. Take this bunch of wild clucker eggs and lay them in the traps. The spiny raptors will go right after the clucker eggs, and then you'll get to trade up to their larger eggs. Genius!
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Cluster Cluck
Ridiculous! The greatest goblin mind of all time reduced to food detail? I made the Micro Mechachicken just for this reason and they let it get away! <Hobart turns a deeper shade of green as his blood pressure rises.> Do I look like I should be rounding up escaped cluckers? No, my friend, not I!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Biggest Egg Ever
Bamm Megabomb? Who does he think he is? His spiny raptor eggs are no match for what we are about to recover! As you well know, each Town-In-A-Box is equipped with a micro mechachicken for just such a dietary emergency.
