Simple if you know what you're doing. You'll die if you don't but that's part of learning. (Yes, I 'learned.')

Part way up, there is a rock to your right that you can hide behind when he starts to cast his fire breath. The "e" and "q" buttons are useful here. Dart out and blast him then get behind the rocks. Repeat until he's dead.

When he's dead, DO NOT LEAVE. Behind the corpse is the next stage of the quest. Go behind him to the plane, complete and accept, and continue.

The best way to kill this guy is just stand underneath him and rapid fire him. He goes down quick. When he turns to shoot fire at you just run to the middle of his belly and continue firing, rinse, repeat. Works like a charm, no damage!

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Children of a Turtle GodThe Lost Isles · Level 1-20

Volcanoth is the turtle god in the cave that these primitives worship. It's not really a god. <Hobart rolls his eyes.> But it is tough enough that I'm going to have to devise a new weapon for you from the one functioning boot we have left.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Repel the ParatroopersThe Lost Isles · Level 1-20

The Alliance have caught back up with us at just the wrong moment, my friend. We took care of their ships, but they still have planes that are dropping their vaunted 127th Paratroopers onto the coast below.
