If you're like me, and had trouble finding things due to a lack of highlighting, simply press alt+z to hide your interface (this is also how you unhide it again) and the Heartsbane objects will glitter brightly, making them easier to spot. Nobody else in the comments has mention this being an issue so far, so it could just be an addon interference, but if anyone else is having this problem, have no fear!

Solution if the NPC is gone and you already completed Waycrest Manor: The Fallen Mother:

If you accidentally started the new quest chain Waycrest Manor: The Fallen Mother and proceeded you have to fully follow the story line that is linked. The very last quest that you have to do is to do the dungeon quest that leads into waycrest manor, after that the NPC was back at the town.

NOTE for me the question mark actually appeared in Corlain mid story line, but dont go there, go back to Arom's Stand.

I quested and went back several time to check for the NPC with out luck, even completed Drust Do It.. After a GM ticket they told me that you gotta do the last dungeon quest for the quest giver to come back to town.

What to do

StorylineArom's Stand, step 5 of 7
Rewards25g 74s, 8,150 XP

Description

<It looks like some careless witch made a poor attempt to hide this grimoire from sight. No good could come of leaving the possessions of the coven for a hapless villager to find. It would probably be a good idea to destroy any trappings of the coven that you find in Arom's Stand.>

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Changing of the GuardDrustvar · Level 20-60

I have no doubt that you're a quite capable <class>, mainlander, but we will need some help if we want to make it to Waycrest Manor in one piece. A small group would be ideal; strong enough to face the coven's threats, but small enough to remain largely unnoticed.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hidden DealingsDrustvar · Level 20-60

<Among her possessions, the witch carried a crudely drawn map of Arom's Stand. A symbol marks what looks like the entrance to a cellar beneath one of the buildings. If this location is important to the coven, it might be worth scouting out.>
