The beginning of this quest is confusing at first glance if you climb up to the mountain to see this spear stick out of the ground. When you hover your mouse cursor over it, it gives a quest marker for you to right click. If you were to come up here without doing any of the quest chains around the area first like I did, the spear is not interactable. Doing the quests prior to getting up here made it open up for me to acquire this quest.

So you picked up [object=278447] and now find [npc=129856] flying in front of you in the sky.
No need to move or run anywhere. Just target the flying mob and pull him with the [item=154893] quest item.If you cant find him, someone else could kill him, so just wait the respawn.
Or maybe someone else is already fighting him on the ground./way 47.19 38.89 Hrillik's Pterrordax

Tried this at 60, pulled the Pterrordax down and killed it, then Fangcaller Hrillik immediately despawned. Engage him quickly.

What to do
Description
<This is one of the spears that Faithless trappers use to pull pterrordaxes to the ground. It has a long chain attached to its base. With good aim, you could use it to pull a Faithless pterrordax rider to the ground so you could fight them.>

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
